Barry Graham Plagiarist? (from buzfree's blog)

barry graham dogo appears to have taken from Joko Beck, Roshi

These are very similar. You be the judge, is barry guilty of plagiarism! I think he is guilty.
On December 9, 2009 Joko Beck was given credit for writing in her book ‘Everyday Zen’
“Suppose we are out on a lake and it’s a bit foggy-not too foggy, but a bit foggy-and we’re rowing along in our little boat having a good time. And then, all of a sudden, coming out of the fog, there’s this other rowboat and it’s heading right at us. And…crash! Well, for a second we’re really angry-what is that fool doing? I just painted my boat! And here he comes-crash!-right into it. And then suddenly we notice that the rowboat is empty. What happens to our anger? Well, the anger collapses…I’ll just have to paint my boat again, that’s all. But if that rowboat that hit ours had another person in it, how would we react? You know what would happen! Now our encounters with life, with other people, with events, are like being bumped by an empty rowboat. But we don’t experience it that way. We experience it as though there are people in that other rowboat and we’re really getting clobbered by them. …”

On January 7, 2011 Barry Graham Dogo wrote on his blog
“There is a Zen story about a man who repaints his boat. Once it’s done, he’s so pleased with how it looks that he decides to take it out on the lake, even though it’s a foggy day. As he steers through the fog, another boat slams into his, damaging the new paint job.
The man is furious. Why the hell didn’t the person in the other boat pay attention and watch where he was going? The man turns to yell at the person in the other boat, and finds that there is no other person. It’s just an empty boat, drifting on the lake.
The other boat is always empty, even when there’s someone steering it. There is never anyone to get angry with. Even if the person steering the other boat deliberately rammed our boat, his behavior had nothing to do with us. Anything anyone else does is done for their own reasons, and much of the time they don’t even know the reasons. When we see life as it is, rather than our thoughts about it, we see that every time we look for an enemy, someone to hate, someone to blame, there’s never anyone there. Just an empty boat on a foggy lake.”

Barry Graham King Rat

So Barry's latest move is he got a lawyer to harass my friend blogging @ the Graham Scam to get the blogger fired.  So for now  the website has been pulled. Barry will not contest the allegations in an honest confrontation but it seems he will sneak up and attack from the rear. Meanwhile I've been in contact with yet another woman that recently filed a restraining order against him. So that is two I currently know of. As Jundo Sensei of Treeleaf Zendo recently ( said about Shimano Roshi's censure by a preponderance of Buddhist leaders has finally come albeit a little late in the game, so I think these leaders need to come forth and censure this fraud as these sorts of acts only escalate and get more serious.
